 Originally published in three-volumes by Lewis Publishing Company in 1917, this reprint contains a brief eight page pioneer history followed by biographical sketches of Ottawa County settlers. Although a reprint, all pages are clear, crisp, and easy to read [you won't need a magnifying glass or 'E.S.P' to interpret]. And, we've added a full-name index for easy look-ups. Also included are eight **8** old maps of Ohio:

Example of Biography

Below is an example of one of the biographies found in this series:
John H. Koenig ... was born near St. Marys, May 29, 1868, a son of Jacob & Barbara [Hoppel] Koenig. His father, who was born in Wuertemberg, Germany, June 6, 1844, came to America when nine years of age with his father, Charles Koenig. The latter died in Auglaize County. Jacob Koenig grew up on a farm and though given only the advantages of common schools made a success as a farmer. For a few years he was in the butcher business at Celina ... a member of St. Paul's German Reformed Church, a democrat ... His wife, Barbara Hoppel, was born near Dayton, Ohio, February 23, 1845 ... their four children are: [lists children] ... continues with education, professional life, and children's careers, marriages, etc.
