YOGSOH JEFFERSON-01:  WILL ABSTRACTS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, OHIO TAKEN FROM BOOK ONE.  JEFFERSON COUNTY, NORTH WEST TERRITORY AND THE STATE OF OHIO.   Abstracted by Mary E. YOGSOH JEFFERSON-01:  JEFFERSON COUNTY, OHIO WILL BOOK 3-B 1836-1844.  Copied and compiled by Reva L. Ashcraft.  This book has a different format and indexing theme.  The page number of the will is the indexing factor.  The wills are listed quite clearly in an easy to understand format.  Sample:  Page 249 Martin Swickard  General File, #420.  Made 28 Aug. 1836; Pro[bated] 7 June 1844.

YOGSOH JEFFERSON-03  THE JEFFERSON COUNTY NEWSLETTER.  Volume 1, Number 1, April 1980 to the end of publication one year later.  Early Marriages from James Mahon – Milla Hitchcock on 17 January 1804 by Benjamin Hough all the way to Richard White – Ellinor Finley on 12 September 1810.  The four issues, authored by the lady who wrote the book just above this one, Mrs. Mary E. DiThomas, are just packed to the very edge of the pages with lots of information from a variety of sources.  These forty pages have articles about so many different things that interest all gemealogists.  Here is a sample of what you can find.  Marriages (45 on the first page alone!) scattered throughout this package, 1867 Court House Reported deaths.  Civil War Discharge papers, Smithfield Twp. voters August of 1849, Deaths from the Daily Herald 1865,Divorces 1844-1651, More Divorces, Names of Revolutionary War Soldiers, Information from Grave Registration cards at the Court House, More Revolutionary War Soldier Burials (who & where!), more Early Marriages, more newspaper deaths from the paper, Guardianship Records – [It is so nice to have someone abstract these, because all these cases are filed under the guardian’s name, not under the name of the children!], Wayne Twp. Voter’s List 1850.  Wells Twp. Voter List 1850, Obituaries scattered throughout, more Civil War soldier discharges, gives where norn, physical description, more early marriages, 4 or 5 pages each quarter. More voter’s lists, more guardianships, more obituaries, now something new in issue three- a list of letters waiting at the Post Office in January of 1807.  1869 deaths, more Wayne County Voters of 1850, more letters waiting at the Post Office and more obituaries.  This is like a treasure chest.  If you have long time roots in Jefferason County, you will find them in here!  PRICE $10
