Seperated into two sections, this publication contains:

a. An abstract of the 1833 tax list. Each entry includes the date land was purchased from the federal government, the name of the patentee, the owner of the land in 1833 and a general description of the location of the land.

Example:
July 11, 1826, Jacob Hollingsworth, Present Owners: Hollingsworth & M. Embree, Section 8, Township 17, Range 11

b. An alphabetical listing of patentees and original owners of Vermilion County lands. The lists shows the earliest date each person purchased land in each of the townships. If "John Doe" purchased land from the government in Elwood Township in 1829, 1831, and 1847, the listing would only be for 1829. If, however, "John Doe" purchased land from the government in two townships, his name will be shown twice and the date of first purchase in each of the townships.
